Welcome to the online Town Clerk's office. This office provides many different licenses, certificates and permits to the residents of the Town of Hempstead. In addition, the Town Clerk has served as the official "Keeper of the Record" for the Town since the mid-1600s and continues to be the conduit between our residents and the Town Board.

I invite you to explore our online services. My goal is to make the Town Clerk's office even more accessible to our residents. I also invite you to visit our office, located on the first floor of Hempstead Town Hall, One Washington Street in the Village of Hempstead. There you will find my courteous staff ready to assist you to obtain the services that you require. Additionally, I encourage you to tour our Archives, which contain so much of the rich and varied history of the Town. We also have many unique, fully-restored maps on display for your viewing pleasure, as well as for genealogical research.
