Womens History Month Program | 03/10/2015

Each year the Town of Hempstead proudly celebrates the achievements of outstanding women. During the month of March, nationally recognized as Women’s History Month, the town’s own Pathfinder Award is presented to local women who have excelled in their careers, the arts, education and volunteer activities, among other areas. So that we might acknowledge the most deserving women with this prestigious award, we are asking for recommendations for candidates for the Pathfinder Award. Candidates MUST either live or work in the Town of Hempstead. Nominations must be returned no later than February 10, 2015. Along with the nomination form, please include a resume for the nominee including their community service and special interests, as well as a brief summary of what you feel makes them stand out among their peers. Each nominee will be carefully considered in the category specified by the person or organization making the recommendation. Award winners will be honored at a special ceremony at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in the Nathan L.H. Bennett Pavilion at Hempstead Town Hall before their friends and family.
