Adopt a Pit Bull | 06/23/2012

Saturday, June 22, 2013, 10 AM to 6 PM, Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter, 3320 Beltagh Avenue, Wantagh.

Hempstead Town and Long Island Pit Stop are encouraging residents to make a “pit stop” at the town Animal Shelter in Wantagh to consider adopting a pit bull or pit bull mix at no charge.

Residents adopting a pit bull or pit bull mix on this date will not pay a fee for adoption, spay/neuter, rabies vaccination or microchipping. What’s more, adopters will receive a free ticket to a local pit bull workshop being hosted by Tia Torres (of Pit Bulls and Parolees, and the Villalobos Rescue Center).
