Supervisor Murray, Iron Chef Bobby Flay "Flip" Over New Burger Palace
|December 05, 2011|
America’s most popular chef has chosen America’s largest township as the home for his new “Bobby’s Burger Palace” restaurant. Surrounded by corporate executives, community leaders, government officials and Food Network fans, all hungering for good eats, Bobby Flay and Supervisor Kate Murray cut the ribbon opening the new eatery in Roosevelt Field.
Iron Chef Flay, host of several popular Food Network shows and the owner of a string of successful restaurants nation-wide, was gifted with a giant ceremonial spatula by Supervisor Murray who termed the oversized utensil a “culinary equivalent to our key to the city.” The new restaurant features a variety of specialty hamburgers, headlined by the “Crunchburger” a delicious angus beef patty topped with potato chips.
“Hempstead Town is officially ‘crunchified’ with today’s opening of Bobby’s new restaurant in Roosevelt Field,” stated Supervisor Murray. “Whether it be his signature dishes, business ventures, or even his stable of thoroughbred race horses, everything Bobby does speaks to high quality and overwhelming success.”
“Bobby’s Burger Palace is a wonderful addition to the menu of stores and eateries in the Roosevelt Field complex,” added the Supervisor. “Bobby’s timing is perfect as he opens the door to his new restaurant right in the middle of the holiday season when the mall is at its busiest.”
The Bobby’s Burger Palace chain is a tribute to America’s regional flavors and traditions. The restaurant’s 10 signature burgers were inspired by Bobby’s extensive travels throughout America. The restaurant partners Bobby’s love of grilling with his preference for a delicious meal served up in convenient casual setting.
“Our township has an appetite for successful business ventures, and the addition of a Bobby Flay franchise adds luster to our corporate community,” concluded Supervisor Murray. “Along with great food, the restaurant brings new jobs, a boost to the local tax base and a ‘hot’ new tourist attraction.”
