Murray Unveils New, Interactive Hempstead Town Website; Includes Detailed Information on Departments, Events and More

Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray is proud to announce the launch of the town’s new website, an interactive one-stop information hub for everything residents need to know about the Town of Hempstead.

“The newly redesigned and re-engineered Town of Hempstead website features detailed information on all town departments, meeting dates, events and downloadable forms and applications,” said Murray. “I encourage all Town of Hempstead residents to visit our website, www.TOH.li, and check out all that America’s largest township has to offer.”

With interactive, colorful and user-friendly pages, the town’s website reflects the atmosphere and beauty found throughout the suburban communities of Hempstead Town. Users will find the site to be easily navigable, as demonstrated in dozens of self-expanding information boxes, drop-down menus and pop-up tabs, many of them accompanied by great photos taken around the town.

The website will highlight events, programs and activities taking place around Hempstead Town. On the homepage, the sliding information boxes currently detail children’s holiday shows offered by the town and its Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption Program. These boxes also showcase the festively decorated Rock Hall Museum, open to the public for the holiday season. Be sure to visit the site regularly to stay informed on all that’s happening throughout the year in Hempstead Town.

Planning a building project? View instructions and forms right on the town’s website! Wondering what’s on the next Town Board agenda? Log on and see for yourself! You can also check out the latest town news clips and public service announcements on the video page. Citizens can view adoptable pets from the town’s animal shelter online, look up contacts for a variety of emergency situations, explore programs and services available for senior residents or find out the latest tidal information for their shoreline communities.

As people continue to move to Hempstead Town, the website is especially useful to new residents, explained Murray. Residents can get in touch with Supervisor Murray and her colleagues on the Town Board; they can also look up parks, beaches and town facilities in their area and check out all the recreational activities and events taking place near them.

The Town of Hempstead was one of the first municipalities to publish its budget online. On the new website, Murray said, residents can easily look up detailed information on the town’s budget.

All told, the town’s new website is an invaluable resource for residents seeking information on various departments, services, meetings and events in the Town of Hempstead.

“There’s always something to do and somewhere to go here in the Town of Hempstead,” said Murray. “This new website highlights all that Hempstead Town has to offer.”
